Hi, my name is Jeri Tourand.  I am a wife, a mother of three, a teacher and a self-help addict.  I was an insanely shy child with ridiculously low self-esteem.  All I wanted was to feel secure, valued and loved.  Isn’t that what we all want?  Most of the time I felt like I could not do anything right.  It was simply impossible.  The world was so critical and so full of “rules”.  It seems that I could never be good enough.  So I proceeded to create a mess.  I attracted controlling men, abuse, and relationship after relationship resulting in heartache, pain and more walls around my heart.

Then I had children of my own, and was consumed with fear and worry.  Would I or could I be a good enough Mom to these 3 perfect little beings?  I want something different for them.  I want confident, happy, successful and secure girls, who, unlike me, do not look to others for love, self-worth and acceptance.   I had nicknamed myself an “affirmation junkie!”

So… what is the secret to motivate and inspire your children to think and act differently?  To be confident in who they are so they are able to fully BE themselves and able to express and share their gifts and talents with the world, as intended?  There are many steps you can take and things you can do, that will have a profound effect on your children’s lives and indeed on your grandchildren’s lives as well.
